MAN Validates Megawatt Charging in Winter Conditions

MAN Truck & Bus has successfully tested high-power megawatt charging under winter conditions in Sweden. In Norrköping, an eTGX truck was charged at around 750 kW using the Megawatt Charging System (MCS), confirming stable vehicle-to-charger communication in sub-zero temperatures. MCS technology is designed to deliver charging capacities of up to 1 MW and beyond, well above current CCS standards of 350–400 kW. At 750 kW, charging from 10% to 90% takes around 30 minutes. Series production of MCS-equipped eTGX and eTGS models is scheduled for the second quarter of 2026.
