ZF Sells ADAS Business to Harman to Reduce Debt

German automotive supplier ZF Group will sell its advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) unit to US-based Harman International for €1.5 billion. The deal will cut ZF’s debt by around 10% and forms part of a broader restructuring plan amid ongoing job cuts. The divested unit, covering software, cameras, and radar technologies, will transfer 3,750 employees to Harman in the second half of 2026. Owned by Samsung, Harman strengthens its presence in assisted driving, a key growth area for future vehicles.
