Dacia Sandero Leads Europe as EV and PHEV Markets Shift

Despite an 8.2% drop in registrations, the Dacia Sandero remained Europe’s best-selling model in 2025, with 237,461 units in a 13.25-million-vehicle market. The Renault Clio ranked second, and Volkswagen placed three models in the top five. Tesla’s Model Y led the EV segment despite a decline, while total EV sales jumped 29%. In plug-in hybrids, China’s BYD Seal U DM-i topped the rankings, highlighting the growing influence of Chinese brands in Europe.
